Kelli Duprey joined Boehringer Ingelheim in 2014 as Senior Vice President, Sales. In this role, she oversees a U.S. sales organization of more than 2,700 colleagues, focused primarily on the cardiovascular, respiratory, and metabolic therapeutic areas.
Kelli brings to BI a proven record of revitalizing underperforming brands and successfully launching major brands. She joined BI from Pfizer, where she was U.S. Regional President for the North-West Regional Business Unit. She led a team of more than 1,650 colleagues, overseeing strategy, operations and sales with profit and loss responsibility for all Primary Care products. During her four years at Pfizer Kelli made significant contributions as a member of the executive group, helping to adapt the business model to achieve customer-centric solutions and enhance operational effectiveness.
Prior to joining Pfizer, Kelli was the Area Vice President Midwest, General Therapeutics at sanofi-aventis, where she led a team of 285 colleagues responsible for general therapeutic brands across 11 states. Earlier, she was Marketing Director for Humira® at Abbott International, where she oversaw the international marketing vision and strategy for its gastroenterology franchise, and led the creation of a comprehensive strategy for the international launch of Humira® for Crohn’s disease. In a prior role, Kelli was Corporate Director of Global Sales Effectiveness at Serono, S.A. in Switzerland, responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan to increase sales effectiveness in Europe and International markets.
In all, Kelli has over 25 years of pharmaceutical experience. She has held various positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, international, sales effectiveness, and pharmacy operations.
Prior to her industry career, Kelli was a Pharmacist and Pediatric Service Chief at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She was also a Director of Pharmacy at Clifton Springs Hospital in Upstate New York.
Kelli earned an MBA degree from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University.
