A New Role for Sales … and a New Role for Sales Operations
As a twenty year veteran of rapidly growing companies in both the telecommunications and software industries, Stricklin brings a new perspective to sales messaging while transforming sales operations to a proactive methodology. At his last stop, Masergy, he led their explosive growth almost tripling the revenue in three and a half years, achieved through a unique combination of sales messaging, partner enablement and building a unique sales operations platform.
Stricklin also similar success at other enterprise and channel software sales organizations including IBM (DataMirror) and Compuware. Earlier, he started his career at MFS and followed the Chairman from MFS to become a co-founder at Allegiance Telecom (XO Communications) – where he ran all sales and operations for the wholesale, national account and enterprise groups. Allegiance grew to $950 million dollars in revenue in four years going public on the NASDAQ (ALGX.)
For his current company Nitel, he is the SVP of Sales and Marketing. Stricklin has responsibility for sales, product marketing and marketing. He will lead the effort to establish points of differentiation in the marketplace through a new product platform and technology services. Internally, he is building a new sales operations team and re-focusing the company’s sale distribution model to exponentially grow the organization through an increased effort on the channel program.
