Position Overview
Our Marketing Department is focused on building a strong brand presence and engaging our audiences with compelling, insightful content.
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Copywriter to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will craft engaging copy for social media assets, edit and refine thought leadership articles to align with our style guide, and support a variety of content needs across the firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated writer to grow their skills in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Assist in drafting articles, whitepapers, eBooks, case studies, email campaigns, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, website copy, and other marketing collateral and sales enablement materials as needed.
- Social Media Content: Write clear, concise and engaging copy for social media channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), tailored to each platform and audience.
- Article and Website Editing: Proofread, edit and enhance articles and website copy, ensuring consistency with our internal style guide, brand voice and digital best practices.
- SEO: Incorporates SEO best practices where appropriate to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
- Research: Conduct research to support content development, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the firm’s subject matter experts, designers and other members of the marketing team to deliver high-quality content.
- Agency Coordination: Collaborate with external agencies- including PR, website and SEO partners- to ensure content aligns with broader marketing strategies and meets project objectives.
- Content Management: Help maintain and organize content libraries, editorial calendars, brand and style guides.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all content is free of grammatical errors, factual inaccuracies, and adheres to best practices for web and digital content.
- Content Performance: Review metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of copy, using data-driven insights to make recommendations and inform content strategy for the wider team.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to design A/B testing copy strategies that continuously improve conversion metrics while preserving brand integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 0-5 years of professional writing or copywriting experience (internships and freelance work count), preferably in a B2B environment.
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with AP Style or similar editorial standards; ability to quickly learn and apply our in-house style guide.
- Experience writing for social media and digital platforms.
- Exceptional writing versatility across short-form (ads, emails, landing pages) and long-form content
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) preferred.
- Familiarity with Pardot (email templates) and MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is preferred.
- Basic understanding of SEO, social media and website copy best practices for increased engagement.
- Familiarity with AI-powered writing and editing tools to brainstorm, draft or refine copy is a plus.
- NOTE: Candidates may be asked to provide work samples or a portfolio during the interview process to assess writing style and capabilities.
Salary Range: $65,000-$72,000. Bonus Eligible.
