Celebrating 40 Years of Service

Alexander Group is Turning 40!

This year marks a remarkable milestone for us at Alexander Group—our 40th anniversary. From our humble beginnings to opening new offices, expanding internationally, welcoming hundreds of talented team members, and forging invaluable relationships with clients and partners, the professional growth we’ve experienced together is nothing short of extraordinary.

But greater still is our feeling of gratitude.

For our team, without whom none of this would be possible. Thank you for your can-do attitude, your immeasurable talent and your unique perspectives.

For our partners, who expand our potential and deepen the value we deliver.

And for our customers, for trusting us with your time, your strategies, your organization.

They say wisdom increases with age. We might be biased, but we do feel that we’ve learned a thing or two in all our years helping business leaders make the right decisions for the organizations they lead.

Below are some of our time-tested takeaways; these lessons have helped us get where we are today and will surely continue to guide us for many years to come.

Mission Matters

An organization’s mission is its true north, guiding next steps through booms, busts and in-betweens. The mission is what strong leaders must come back to as they guide their teams toward success.

Alexander Group’s mission is to create an environment where people can learn, grow and lead through collaboration, innovation and teamwork. Since our founding, we’ve focused on organic growth by finding the best people and providing them with the resources to be successful.

Coming to work with people who are not only your colleagues, but your friends, makes work fun. Avrille Hanzel, Director, Consulting Services & Operations

Collaboration & Teamwork

We wouldn’t have come this far without our commitment to collaboration and teamwork. It’s essential for overall success, from delivering value to clients to providing an ideal employee experience.

Encouraging and celebrating multiple perspectives leads to better ideas. It’s important to recruit and retain individuals who make our culture even better while still offering unique, diverse viewpoints.

At the root of teamwork is respect for everyone, regardless of the title. Collaboration isn’t just peer-to-peer; it involves senior partners working with younger team members to refine their work, leading to innovative solutions for clients.

Growth can mean a lot of things: progressing through your career, growing your knowledge and skillset, or balancing work growth along with personal growth. Chris Nagle, Partner

Learning & Growth

Whether through on-the-job training, enablement services, formal mentoring programs or in-the-moment coaching, continuous learning sets everyone up for success. But it’s more than a strategy; it’s a mindset. Truly embracing continuous learning means being open-minded with feedback; it means leading with curiosity; it means pushing yourself to be the best you can be.

Learning leads you down a path of growth—one that may not be linear. Learning to be nimble and adapt to life’s many challenges will help instill a sense of resilience and empathy for what others may be experiencing as well.

Organizations should celebrate employees’ personal growth and milestones to nurture company culture and support a healthy employee experience. Our team tenure at Alexander Group is uncharacteristic for the consulting industry. People come to our Firm to build a long career. We attribute this, in great part, to our focus on continuous learning and supporting growth.

A successful firm is a growing firm, and thus we have to innovate. We have to stay in front of all the changes that are occurring all around us. Gary Tubridy, Founding Partner

Leading & Innovation

Leadership might mean different things to different organizations. For us, effective leadership means creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders. This requires selflessness, accountability and embedding future leaders in the business to support their growth.

Innovation must be at the forefront for any organization hoping to achieve sustainable success. But it’s more than just embracing the latest technology; innovation means finding creative solutions and new ways of thinking. It means delivering better for clients and expanding possibilities.

In the long term, innovation opens up new avenues at the organizational level. Thanks to our focus on innovation, we’ve been able to expand into new areas like data science and AI.

You’re always subject to change. You have to capture those changes and bring them into your practice. Make it your own; make it an advantage. Gary Tubridy, Founding Partner

Looking to the Future

Alexander Group may be 40 years old, but we’re nowhere near done growing and evolving! We couldn’t be more excited about the direction of our organization and our trajectory toward the future.

No matter how the firm may evolve, we’re committed to maintaining our culture and ethos, creating opportunities for rising leaders, and ensuring we stay true to our values.

Thank you again to everyone in our community who has helped us get this far. On one hand, it feels like we’ve come such a long way since our founding in 1985. On the other hand, we’re just getting started.
