Janet Schijns (pronounced “shines” ) is Vice President, Global Channels, at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, responsible for overseeing Verizon’s indirect enterprise distribution channels – partners, value-added resellers and systems Integrators – across the U.S., EMEA, the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America. Already having proved herself a Global Channels expert, Janet was responsible for launching, and continues to govern, the award winning Verizon Partner Program (VPP). Janet is focused on driving customer growth through best-in-class engagement of the enterprise channel.
Schijns joined Verizon in 2010 to apply her extensive experience of linking market needs, business strategy and technology solutions to the development of market leading solutions primarily focused on launching our IoT business and has held position of Vice President of Global Marketing, where she represented more than 50 countries; and Vice President of Segment and Product Marketing, where she led Verizon’s product platforms delivering marketing plans and programs to customers.
Her continuing mission is to deliver the promise of the connected world by transforming the way global enterprises and governments improve customer experiences, manage risk, and improve business results. Schijns is one of the top 50 MarTech Influencers globally, top 20 IoT engagement leaders, and is widely acknowledged as a GTM expert throughout the channel industry.
During her tenure as Vice President of the Business Solutions Group for Verizon Wireless, she and her team deployed a number of industry-leading solutions which enhanced the company’s M2M position. Prior to joining Verizon Wireless, Schijns was Vice President of Enterprise and Government Business at Motorola where she doubled indirect distribution annually.
Schijns was previously Founder & CEO of The JS Group, an international consultancy firm focused on providing business-based programs for strategic growth to high-tech companies, large and small. She is also the creator of the industry-recognized, award-winning Master-of-Convergence, Partner Expert, and Solutions First programs.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Business from Montclair State University, is a member of the Women of the Channel Advisory Board, the Channel Partner Board and a founding member of the Vanguard Council for Channels, as well CRN’s Channel Partner Top Award Winner for the past decade.
